- Rose of Jericho -

Symbol of happiness, love, long life and everlasting beauty.

A miracle of nature which survives centuries at extreme temperatures without any water or soil. This plant is indigenous to extremely dry regions, so it can survive extended periods of drought. In moist condition the Rose of Jericho can be used to improve the air and to absorb smoke.

During their travel from Nazareth to Egypt, Virgin Mary is said to have blessed this plant and thus given eternal life to the Rose.

It might be only a legend, but anyone who sees this plant for the first time will think it hardly possible that this apparently lifeless bulb can grow into a velvet-green, flatly spreading plant.

Something incredible happens once the plant is soak into water: the apparently lifeless twigs open out widely and become green till the water is completely soak up.

Then the plant will slowly dry and close into a bulb and after 15/20 days it will be ready for a new life cycle: you may have this phenomenal plant show its bloom as often as and whenever you like it.
